Starting our Soft Mozart Adventure...

Well since there has been a lot of changes to Wesley's schedule in the last little bit, we decided to stop his Suzuki violin lessons. There are only so many hours in a day and as important as music is, we needed to find something that better fit our schedule. I'm not one of those parents that want to over program my child, to the point where I never get to see them. To be honest putting him in school is not my first choose, but right now its what we need to do.
But the thing is what were we going to do for music. Music is SO important for a child's development. So I started researching programs we could do at home, according to OUR schedule. Then a friend from BrillKids suggested I look into Soft Mozart. Actually, she more then insisted... Actually the lady would not take I'll think about it as an answer! LOL I'm just teasing, she just strongly suggested it. And after hearing her talk about the program, then watching her videos on YouTube, I made the purchase after using a coupon available for BrillKids members and the gift certificate the friend who recommended it to me gave me. (Thanks again Nadia!)
I bought the one year subscription, and it seems that the one year subscription could go towards the purchase of the full program when I'm ready to take that step.
One thing I noticed on their forum that the price for the full program and subscriptions will be going up on February 15, 2012.
More information can be found HERE.Now I wish we have used this program long so I can give it my full stamp of approval, but we haven't really started :( However you can head over to the Soft Mozart's forum and read how things are going for some other families using Soft Mozart.
Stay Tuned for more updates about our journey.

  1. I still believe in Suzuki Piano, if it's piano that you're looking for instead of violin. ;D I like it's progression of pieces and how it moves towards Left & Right hand coordination in harmonising.
